Garrett

In case anyone is wondering, our good friend Garrett is in Chile right now serving a mission. In the Concepcion South Mission, which is right near where the earthquake on Saturday hit. Not a fun day. We spent it around the tv watching the news and calling the church offices every hour. All of the missions had reported by about 11 am and no missionaries were hurt except for the Concepcion South mission. They were without power and had no way of contacting anyone. So someone found the mission president on a bike checking on all the missionaries. We didnt hear any news until about 6. Garrett is fine, and actually his zone leader called his mom today to reassure him and gave her a number to call him. He was so far south and in a rural part of the country that it didnt effect him much. Also, there was a letter that was forwarded to us from the Santiago temple presidents wife that talked about the temple. The only damage that was done to the temple was that Moroni lost his trumpet! No missionaries in Chile were injured. I know a lot of people were praying for Garrett and I know his mom was very thankful. Prayers are answered.

Cute Peyton

Melis took these for me. Seriously, is she not the cutest thing? She is such a good baby. I read in a magazine once that its normal for babies to cry up to 3 hours a day. Peyton cries maybe that much in a week, if that. Shes the bomb.

ha! 6 months later! We blessed Peyton. Kylee turned 3, got a new bike. Started dance. Peyton is scooting all over the place. Christmas came and went. We went to Dinseyland with Ky for the first time. Haven came to visit. Luke and Landon came to visit. I turned 25, David turned THIRTY.

Kylee-isms

I told her she needed to get in the bath so Dad could take us on a lunch date. And she said where are we going? And I said I dont know yet. And she said Red Robin?

"Mom. Cinderella has a broken heart...." after watching Cinderella for the millionth time.

Shes in the bathtub singing right now," Now matter how your heart is "beating" if you keep on dreaming......"

Peyton was crying in the car the other day and and she knows we usually sing if shes crying and she stops. So she says MOM, SING!!!!!! Like all panicky.

I told her not to do something and she said "Mom, actually I dont want you to say that to me. " (who says actually?!) And I said well Kylee I have to say that to you because you cant play with that, and she said, well just dont be mad at me because I HAVE to play with it.

The other day David took her to the grocery store and she saw some Bubble Tape. She asked him if she could have it and said to put it back. And she said, "But dad, I need it. It matches my skirt." !?! Her skirt was pink and so was the gum. So she came home with the dang gum. Hes gonna have his hands full with her!

udate: Peyton does this screeching sound, and Ky says, see mom, thats why we should get a new baby!

Peyton!

Heres our pretty Peyton LaVelle. She is such a sweet baby. Fastest labor ever. Got to the hospital at 9:15 had her at 9:45. So nuts. I couldnt believe it when I literally pushed 3 times and she was here! David keeps teasing me and calling me a pioneer woman because ONCE AGAIN I didnt get to get an epidural. But this time it was SO much better. I guess only being in labor for 30 minutes helps. Im a little freaked out what will happen next time around. Wouldnt it be awful to be one of those stories you hear about where you have your baby in the car?! ack! So everything went great, totally not as planned, but so much better. We are doing great and love our new little Peyton!

Melissa has been practicing! Its SO crazy how good she is with photoshop. It took Kylee a little while to actually want to take these, but by the end she was looking for spots to take pictures. What a goofy girl.

4th of July Block Party!

Its been tradition since I was 6 to go my parents houseboat every year on the 4th, but this year my mom was going to be visiting the McKinleys and my brother Brett was going to be at EFY so we decided to stay home and have a block party. Crazy kids!

Luke and Kylee are pretty much obsessed with eachother. They crack up at the silliest things and find silly things to entertain themselves. This is yesterday at my moms due to a broken sprinkler. They played out there for seriously 2 hours. Then we just hosed (is that a word?!) them off. No harm done. :)

Fathers Day!

Who DOES that?!

Kylee pooped outside, in the backyard yesterday. She was too busy to come inside. I was so mad. SERIOUSLY? what 2 year old GIRL poops outside?!?!? on the grass?!?! right off the patio?! She is NUTS!

At our house..

If you ask Ky this week what our her sisters name is, its Jalisa. Like this. JAH-leeesa. Like its fancy. Thats her nursery teachers name. Last week it was Eric. As in Prince Eric from Little Mermaid. And she makes us feel her tummy to feel "Stella" kick. Thats the baby thats in her tummy. What the? I love this girl!

Mothers Day!

I dont think my weekend couldve been any better! I have the best husband! I got these on Friday. And then on Saturday we went to dinner with my parents and grandparents.

And David totally cleaned Kylees room up for me which was a huge deal because we had been painting and just left things a huge mess. On Sunday I woke up to cute Kylee snuggling up to me with a big kiss and a Happy Mothers Day. I got to sleep in while David got Kylee ready for church and then she came in and told me breakfast was ready. So then I got some yummy waffles. AND at church David taught my primary class so I could go to Relief Society. When we got home from church, he put Kylee down for a nap! AND THEN made the best dinner ever while I took a little snooze. His dinner was like gourmet chef style. Terriyaki chicken and grilled asparagus and tempura shrimp and pinapple. (Like he made the batter and everything......what is he, superman?!) And even set the table AND cleaned Ky's bathroom. Really well. Like better then I do.... Hes so dang cute. AND THEN he put Kylee to bed. But he normally does that...But still! I just lucked out big time when it comes to him. Love you babe! Thanks for making my day so special!!

oh yah. Turns out....I totally DONT have placenta previa. And its still a girl. :)

I LOVE Britney.

Britney Spears was awesome. Seriously awesome. Shes back and hot and it was so fun! Did I mention how good our seats were? And that the girls in front of us paid a full hundred and something dollars more for theirs? yah, cause they did. I guess it pays to procrastinate. (sometimes) Fun times!

Think Pink!

We got into a pretty scary car accident on Friday night so I went in today for an appointment just to be safe and they gave me an ultrasound! He said he was pretty sure its a girl!! YAY! So we'll see for sure at my regular scheduled ultrasound on Tuesday but like 70 percent its a girl. AND 100 percent I have placenta previa that he doesnt going to think will change. So cross your fingers and say a little prayer for me that it does so I dont have to have a scary c-section.

Funny Conversations with kids..

The other night Kylee was beyond tired and just was crying and crying but wouldnt go to sleep. This is how our conversation went
Ky: Moooom, just holda me.
Me: Kylee I am holding you.
Ky: No just holda me standing up.
So I stand up and she starts crying
Ky: No just hold me right there
So I sit back down and she starts crying.
So I stand up and she says just hold me on the chair
So I sit on the chair and she starts crying
"I need my bear and my blankey"
So I reach over and grab them and she starts crying
Ky: You squished my bear!!! (Like I killed it)
So I fluff it up and call it good..
This went on and on for seriously a good 10 minutes between the wrong colored blankets and the bear kept getting squished......UGH

Most of the times our little conversations and pretty funny. Heres one between Luke and my mom.
They had been outside looking for lizards and my mom gets all brave and actually catches one and puts it in Lukes little cage. He actually says this to the lizard. "Oh little lizard Im sorry my grandma got you and took you away from your family." What the??

Latley Kylee has been talking to my tummy. She and I both have babies in our tummies according to her. Hers is a frog baby named Drake and mine is a sister baby named Stella. ?!?!

My memory works the best when Im trying to fall asleep so as I remember these stories Im going to post them on here.

OH I just rememberd another one with Luke.

So Luke was here and 'tooted'. He goes Oh exscuse me I farted. and I said, Oh Lukey lets just say toot thats a nicer word. And he looks at me like ohmygosh seriously? And says, Stay-ceee, there was air in my bum and it came out, that is a fart, NOT a toot. Oh Sorry.....

SERIOUSLY?

I admit Im a reality TV junkie. I know its a waste of my time and David doesn't get why I want to know what a bunch of high school kids are doing (Laguna Beach) or dumb girls in Hollywood (The Hills) or that rated R junk with the gay people (The Real World) But the DUMBEST thing I have watched all year was The Bachelor last night. I am so annoyed. Jason is a scum bag. Molly acted like a dumb girl. Yes its totally cool to make out with a guy who FIVE minutes ago broke up with his fiance on the same couch you are making out on. And I think Melissa let him off way to easy. Ugh. SO as much as I am bugged, I will be watching tonight to see what happens....probably to get bugged all over again.

Edited to add: I just read seriouslysoblessed. and I do realize that I sound just like her. haha. And one of her comments was, Molly should have said, "If you liked it then you shoulda put a ring on it." And I seriously started laughing, out loud.

25 Things About Me

1. I love sleeping. Its a rare occasion that I wake up before 9:00. I think thats why I dont get sick.
2. I love being crafty.
3. I have a crazy sensitive gag reflex. When I get grossed out I can feel it all the way down to my tail bone. I don't get nautious or anything, just grossed out and the heebie geebies.
4. When we first got married I somehow convinced David to do the dishes everynight and he still does, and its SO nice. Now if I have to do them, I hate it.
5. I took tap dancing lessons for 11 years.
6. Windex and Pine-sol are my VERY favorite smells. Like so much I wish someone would make candles out of them. I would burn them all the time.
7. I have a ridiculous amount of scrapbooking paper. That I never use, but think I will.
8. I used to make/beg Melissa (my sister) to make phone calls for me. Call in sick to work, hair appointments, she even made my first Dr's appointment when I was pregnant with Kylee. I'm pretty sure that was the last straw since she cut me off after that. I just HATED doing it.
9. I've never owned a car. Every vehicle Ive had since and in high school has had 4 wheel drive. I don't even know if I could drive a car, I might wreck it or something.
10. When I moved to Rexburg for college, I bought a bunch of tank tops. I was livin' on the edge. 11. I miss being 19. It was so fun.
12. Kylee is named after my friend Kaili, but we changed how it was spelled because David's middle name is Kaj. And I thought that was too confusing.
13. I used to want to be in the FBI, which is so lame because guns make me nervous and sweaty.14. Horses and chickens freak me out.
15. Me and Melissa and Kristen were all homecoming queen. heehee. Were cool.
16. David is my voice of reason. He's so practical and I am just so not. He's perfect for me.
17. I really really miss my sisters. And everyonce in awhile I get really really mad at a certain someone that starts with a B and ends with a rock for "ruining my life" and then have to get over it because he didnt really and I just have to get over it AND it doesnt even change anything.
18. Also while in Rexburg I got something like 15 parking tickets. SO LAME.
19. I've been in primary since I was 18. Except for a brief time right after I had Kylee. I like it and they like me.
20. Both sets of my grandparents are still living and I think that makes me and Kylee very lucky.
21. Kylee has SO much personality its a little scary. The other day she was singing at the top of her longs and then turns around and says, "Thank you very much." Shes 2.
